The greater the pain, the tougher the lesson, the harder it takes to forget. But not all the pain in the world demands to be felt, sometimes they just demand to be surrendered.
My role in this new life is not for my plans to be accomplished, but to walk in His.
We’ll try again, because even when people fail us, God never will. And loving imperfect people makes you want to hold on more tightly to the giver of love who won’t ever stop from loving you even when you don’t deserve the it.
Stories we write with our own blood, sweat and tears have their tendencies to engrave deeper scars upon our skin. ” . . . all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” – Psalm 139:16. Pray to remember, and pray to never forget. He is the Author of life.
Never be silent in your driest, keep speaking, keep proclaiming, keep trusting. Because the fight you’re in is not a losing one.
The wait for the long desert-like silence may feel like a lifetime but there’s much more to these tough times than what they appear to be.
Let God use you to strengthen others, and let God use others to strengthen you. We need each other, so we won’t get stuck. We’re advancing, with Christ in the center. Advancing, advancing. Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone. Get accountable, be open and don’t hold back. Stop doubting if you’re ever going to fit in, or if you’re just one big messy pile that came out of nowhere. We’re all messy here – let’s get decluttered together, you can sit with us.
Because, while good is often commendable, they may indeed be hidden behind clothing. Real skin reveals real scars, and real scars reveal real circumstances, reveal people, reveal Christ – who got them through it. Real ones don’t hide with garments dirty enough to be considered a mop. Real ones reveal themselves naked, and find themselves clothed with nothing else but Grace. Scars are wonderful when you know they’ve been cleansed and made clean. They may be painful reminders, but at least we have something that reminds us. Pitiful, and forgetful citizens of heaven who – more often than always – forget they’re here temporarily.
His grace surpasses all understanding, and He will reveal everything in His own way, in His own time and His own will. Keep trusting, Keep the faith. He is steadfast. And He loves you, so much that He will refuse to leave your heart as it is. It might be painful, but He is worth it.
This season we are in is something we must not put on hold, but it is also something we have to learn to embrace. Oh how great a deal of beauty in life do we take for-granted by rushing to grow up, rushing to grow old before just watching everything unfold in its due time.
Because maybe that “The One” may not be the “one” you’ve been wasting your time looking for in the coffee shops or in book stores thinking his interests could match yours. Maybe your “The One” is not JUST ANYONE because He Is The One. Maybe that’s why the person is called The One because He Is distinct, He is different, He is entirely set apart – not of this world.
